What can go wrong
Vehicles equipped with a 1.5L engine may be subject to engine failure and loss of engine power caused by water pump pulley slippage. This condition may result in timing belt misalignment and engine shutdown. The pulley may detach from the shaft leading to the loss of vehicle components on the roadway and complete loss of engine power increasing the risk of an accident.
