What can go wrong
The locking forces of the maintenance flap may not be to specification. At high speed and in combination with strong gusts of wind the plastic maintenance flap may detach from the vehicle and may pose an increased risk of injury for following road users.
The fix
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the locks of the maintenance flap.
