BMW I4 and BMW iX recall: Replacing the Cell Module of the High-Voltage Battery
DVSA recall R/2025/274 names the BMW I4 and BMW iX. It was launched 23 July 2025. It covers vehicles built 23 September 2021 to 7 June 2023.

What can go wrong
On affected vehicles the battery module frame may have been manufactured using too much force. In conjunction with swelling force of the battery this could lead to failure and a possible thermal event within the vehicles life time.
The fix
On affected vehicles the modules will be replaced.
