What can go wrong

On affected vehicles water might accumulate in the spare wheel well. The water could briefly come into contact with the fuel pump control unit impairing the fuel supply to the engine.

The fix

Install a water drain plug in the spare wheel well check for water infiltration and replace the fuel pump control unit if necessary.
