What can go wrong

On subject vehicles a weld on the rear cross member might be non-compliant and eventually cause the weld between the cross member and the vehicle body to break. This may lead to a partial detachment of the axle and cause the driver to lose control.

The fix

Contact keepers using DVLA and manufacturer's records.Check the compliance of the weld on the O/S/R and if necessary replace the cross member.

Is a specific car affected? A recall lists models and build dates, not individual vehicles, so these pages cannot tell you whether one car is included. Enter the registration on the DVSA vehicle recall checker on GOV.UK, or give the vehicle identification number (VIN) to the manufacturer or one of its dealers. Buying used? Ask the seller for proof that any recall work was done.
