What can go wrong

It has been identified that an incorrect brake master cylinder and or brake fluid reservoir has been installed. In instances of the installation of an incorrect brake master cylinder the brake pedal will travel further before the brakes become effective. On vehicles fitted with an incorrect brake fluid reservoir the brake wear limit light will illuminate prematurely.

The fix

Recalled vehicles will have the brake master cylinder and or the brake fluid reservoir replaced.

Is a specific car affected? A recall lists models and build dates, not individual vehicles, so these pages cannot tell you whether one car is included. Enter the registration on the DVSA vehicle recall checker on GOV.UK, or give the vehicle identification number (VIN) to the manufacturer or one of its dealers. Buying used? Ask the seller for proof that any recall work was done.
