What can go wrong
The rotor blades in the brake vacuum pump may have a rough surface and be subject to wear. In the most serious case the blades may break causing loss of brake vacuum assistance and resulting in increased stopping distances.
The fix
The affected vehicles are being recalled to Toyota Dealers for replacement of the vacuum pump blades and rotor.
