What stands out

  • At 3 years the Toyota Estima fails 26.8% of MOTs (1,957 tests), 14.8 points above the 12.1% for all cars that age. At 19 years it fails 30.6% (1,358 tests), 12.6 points below the 43.2% average.
  • It moves from above to below the all-car rate between 7 and 8 years.
  • Its most common structural or mechanical fail item at 13 years: Linkage ball joint dust cover: ball joint dust cover no longer prevents the ingress of dirt, at 3.8 per 100 MOTs.
