What stands out

  • At 7 years the Mercedes-Benz M-Class fails 14.5% of MOTs (3,282 tests), 6.1 points below the 20.6% for all cars that age. At 24 years it fails 41.1% (1,091 tests), 3.3 points above the 37.8% average.
  • The gap is widest at 11 years: 11.3 points below all cars.
  • Its most common structural or mechanical fail item at 10 years: Coil spring broken, at 4.9 per 100 MOTs.
