Skoda Superb and others recall: Replacing TAKATA driver airbag
DVSA recall R/2026/342 names the Skoda Superb, Skoda Octavia, Skoda Rapid and Skoda Fabia. It was launched 2 September 2026. It covers vehicles built 8 February 2016 to 16 June 2017.

What can go wrong
On affected vehicles in the event of an accident in which the airbag is deployed the front airbag gas generator could burst sending metal fragments into the vehicle. This could cause serious harm or fatal injuries to the driver and their passengers.
The fix
Replace the front airbag on the driver side.
