What can go wrong

The Safety Recall relates to the interior rear-view mirror. The interior mirror mounting plate may not have been bonded to the windscreen sufficiently. Due to an insufficient adhesive surface on the mounting plate (bracket) the rearview mirror could become partially or even completely detached from the windscreen. If the rearview mirror becomes partially or even completely detached this could impair the visibility while driving. In the event of an accident this could increase the risk of injury.

The fix

On the affected vehicles the windscreen (with mounting plate) will be checked and if necessary replaced

Is a specific car affected? A recall lists models and build dates, not individual vehicles, so these pages cannot tell you whether one car is included. Enter the registration on the DVSA vehicle recall checker on GOV.UK, or give the vehicle identification number (VIN) to the manufacturer or one of its dealers. Buying used? Ask the seller for proof that any recall work was done.
