What can go wrong
Due to inappropriate water proof structure of the front deck water can ingress into the wiper motor. Water accumulated around the air breather hole might enter into the wiper motor when the motor is cooling down after operation. As a result the internal part of the front wiper motor may rust and seize In the most serious case the wiper motor may not operate.
The fix
The waterproof fabric has been introduced to the air breather cap since 10/01/2014 for RHD wiper motors. Check which type of breather cap is fitted and replace with new motor if the latest waterproof type is not fitted.

Recall wording is DVSA's, with capitals and punctuation tidied and American spellings such as tire, center and windshield given in British English. On this page we also replaced a word that reads as a rating or an endorsement with a plain one. We list a recall when its make and model match a car or van family with at least 1,000 DVSA MOT tests from 2022 to 2025, and when the maker of the vehicle issued it.
