What can go wrong

There is a possibility that the bracket holding the air conditioning compressor onto the engine is not properly tightened. As a result there is a risk that this bracket might break during driving. If this occurs the air conditioning compressor might become detached from the vehicle and could potentially fall on the road.

The fix

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and check bracket holding the air compressor is correctly secured. In case the bracket was not properly secured it will be replaced by a new one.

Is a specific car affected? A recall lists models and build dates, not individual vehicles, so these pages cannot tell you whether one car is included. Enter the registration on the DVSA vehicle recall checker on GOV.UK, or give the vehicle identification number (VIN) to the manufacturer or one of its dealers. Buying used?
