What can go wrong

As part of a software update the stored adjustment settings for the automatic clutch were not deleted and re-taught. These stored settings are incompatible with the updated software and can result in incorrect operation in certain circumstances. This may adversely affect gear changes including uncommanded selection of neutral. If neutral is selected manual gear selection will be available.

The fix

On affected vehicles the clutch software will be re-installed and the system re-taught.

Is a specific car affected? A recall lists models and build dates, not individual vehicles, so these pages cannot tell you whether one car is included. Enter the registration on the DVSA vehicle recall checker on GOV.UK, or give the vehicle identification number (VIN) to the manufacturer or one of its dealers. Buying used? Ask the seller for proof that any recall work was done.
