What can go wrong

The threaded connection on the Adblue filler pipe and ground cable for the fuel tank access may not be correctly tightened on vehicles with diesel engine OM651. It is possible for the connection to work loose and fail thereby causing the possibility of an electrostatic discharge. In extreme conditions there is a possibility of fire.

The fix

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary correct the connection of the Adblue filler pipe and ground cable.

Is a specific car affected? A recall lists models and build dates, not individual vehicles, so these pages cannot tell you whether one car is included. Enter the registration on the DVSA vehicle recall checker on GOV.UK, or give the vehicle identification number (VIN) to the manufacturer or one of its dealers. Buying used? Ask the seller for proof that any recall work was done.
