What can go wrong

It has been identified that in the subject vehicles there is a possibility the container of the inflator of the driver’s side may rupture. Toyota has not been able to establish the cause of the failure and is conducting a safety recall to recover the relevant parts to enable them to investigate the cause of the failure.

The fix

Recall the affected vehicles to replace the driver's side airbag inflator.

Is a specific car affected? A recall lists models and build dates, not individual vehicles, so these pages cannot tell you whether one car is included. Enter the registration on the DVSA vehicle recall checker on GOV.UK, or give the vehicle identification number (VIN) to the manufacturer or one of its dealers. Buying used? Ask the seller for proof that any recall work was done.
