What can go wrong
Water may enter the glow plug control module due to poor sealing of the waterproof connecter for the front harness. In some cases the glow plug control module could get corroded due to the water ingress and in the most serious case there is a possibility that the glow plug control module could melt resulting in a vehicle fire.
The fix
A Mazda dealer will inspect the glow plug control module and if necessary replace the glow plug control module. Also the installation location of the glow plug control module will be changed to prevent future water ingress.

Recall wording is DVSA's, with capitals and punctuation tidied and American spellings such as tire, center and windshield given in British English. On this page we also replaced a word that reads as a rating or an endorsement with a plain one. We list a recall when its make and model match a car or van family with at least 1,000 DVSA MOT tests from 2022 to 2025, and when the maker of the vehicle issued it.
