What can go wrong

There may be insufficient clearance between the front brake hoses and the tyre inner wall. In the long term this could result in damage to the brake hose(s) with a risk of fluid loss.

The fix

The affected vehicles are being recalled for installation of a spacer to ensure adequate clearance between the front brake hoses and the tyre walls. Any hoses showing signs of previous contact will be changed.

Is a specific car affected? A recall lists models and build dates, not individual vehicles, so these pages cannot tell you whether one car is included. Enter the registration on the DVSA vehicle recall checker on GOV.UK, or give the vehicle identification number (VIN) to the manufacturer or one of its dealers. Buying used? Ask the seller for proof that any recall work was done.
